The Tertiary Education Organisations' Internationalisation Study

This study that was carried out in three phases between 2013 and 2015, provides information on the extent to which tertiary education providers in New Zealand have engaged in internationalisation activities.  It builds on two previous Ministry studies: Internationalisation and Tertiary Education Institutions in New Zealand (1998) and Internationalisation in New Zealand Tertiary Education Organisations (2006).  This third study is part of the Ministry of Education's monitoring and reporting activity, particularly of progress made in implementing the goals of the Leadership Statement for International Education

Phase One focused on international student programmes, Phase Two on the internationalisation of teaching and learning and students' international learning experiences, and Phase Three on other aspects of internationalisation, such as international research collaboration, international relationships, and TEOs' plans and strategies for achieving internationalisation.
